Ships On-Watch List

In accordance with Section 3.8.2 of the Indian Ocean MOU, where vessels that proceed to sea without complying with the conditions agreed to by the Authority of the port of inspection, or do not proceed to the nominated repair port. The Authority of the repair port will immediately alert port of inspection and it will inform IOMOU Secretariat to announce the other MOU's Secretariats.

The Authority may then request that the IOMOU Secretariat place an alert on the IOMOU 'Ships On-Watch List'.

Additionally, other organisations such as classification societies, Secretariats' of other MOU's and flag States not being members of the Indian Ocean MOU's also provide alerts of on various vessels from time to time. The IOMOU Secretariat hosts these alerts only as general information for the maritime community. The IOMOU takes no responsibility for the initiation of such alerts.

In accordance with the conditions mentioned in paragraph 1 of the Guidelines for "Ships on Watch List", members and responsible organisations can request the IOMOU Secretariat to place an alert on the IOMOU website. At the moment, member Authorities has placed alerts on the following vessels.
